About

About

LOVE IS NOT SILENT was created to be an encouragement ministry because of the ever-increasing need for Biblical truth to be proclaimed and lived out in a world that has been deceived into believing that love means we affirm sins and false beliefs.

Our mission is to shine the light on the darkness while encouraging one another that it is, in fact, Biblical to speak up and lovingly correct or reprove someone (2 Timothy 3:16-17). As iron sharpens iron, sometimes the most loving thing we can do is to tell our neighbor they are hurting themselves and/or others. This concept is widely accepted among those familiar with secular programs for addiction, suicide, or abuse. You wouldn’t let a five-year-old run into traffic, so why do we stop caring when it comes to spiritual matters?

We also believe LOVE IS NOT SILENT in that love is not meant to only be a warm and fuzzy sentiment left in the mind. Love in the Bible is an action word leading us to edify others by showing them the love of Christ. So while we know the importance of truth and correction, we also firmly believe love moves -- moves us to good deeds, a phone call, getting involved with people and their lives, walking the walk together, and glorifying God.

We encourage you to partner with us and help raise awareness of Biblical truths and empower others to break free from the cultural pressures to be silent.

Statement of Faith

The Bible

The Bible is the infallible, inerrant, inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16).

The Trinity

God has revealed Himself to be one in essence and three in person (Matthew 28:18-20).

God

God is a Spirit, infinite, eternal, and immutable in His being. He is all powerful, all knowing, perfect in wisdom and truth, perfect in justice, perfect in holiness and goodness, and perfect in love (1 John 4:8). See The Attributes of God by Dr. Steven Lawson.

Jesus Christ

Jesus God is fully God and fully man, born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a perfectly sinless life, was crucified, died, and was buried. He rose on the third day, ascended to heaven, and will return in glory and in judgement. He is the only mediator between God and Man (1 Timothy 2:5). Salvation exists in no one else except for Christ Jesus (Acts 4:12, 1 Corinthians 8:6).

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead (John 15:26). He has emotions, intentions, and a will (Ephesians 4:30, Acts 15:28, Romans 8:5). The Holy Spirit intercedes for us (Romans 8:26-27) and is our Comforter, Helper, and Advocate (John 14:26). Believers are indwelt by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:9-10). See What is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit?
